As the story unfolds we discover that Usha’s enraged father is not in favour of the relationship and mercilessly imprisons Aniruddha. War breaks out and we witness Aniruddha’s rescue by divine arrangement.
The choreographers have crafted the dynamic movements in this production in accordance with the Natya-Shastras, the ancient texts on the classical performing arts. An aerial rope act during this production keeps the audience on their toes. Indeed, there is never a dull moment in Usha and Aniruddha and the audience is given an authentic glimpse into the depth of emotion and richness of expression in Indian culture.
